Dog grooming tips

Dog grooming is undoubtedly one of the essential features to be done for any dog. It is difficult in the initial stages, but once you initiate grooming right from the pup stage, they get used to it and do not trouble you later. In fact, they enjoy the pleasure of getting groomed, your loving words, the way you take care and the feeling of being healthy. Regular grooming is essential or else they start spreading a bad odor. Moreover, their hair from the body sheds all over the area and is harmful to your health. Besides this the dogs also get infected with disease. To avert all these nuances, it is best to follow the dog grooming tips.
Ears: Your dog's ears should be checked periodically. Especially, dogs having droop ears are more susceptible to fungus, ear mites and waxy ears. Infected ears leads to more complications such as their blood vessels may break down while shaking their head in discomfort. So proper as well as regular care are highly recommended.
Clipping Nails: This is a very essential part of dog grooming and should be done once in two weeks. You can start this from the puppy stage so that they become familiar with this process. You should be careful in clipping the nails as you have to clip only the dark colored nails so that you do harm the quick that consists of a nerve and blood supply. Clipping between the paws will avert seeds, pebbles or grass getting stuck in the pads.
Hair Brushing dogs: Brushing dogs is an intensive work. You should brush your dog gently. If you show a hard hand it will burn the skin of your dog. If you train your dog from the puppy stage, it will become comfortable to handle your dog once it grows bigger. You should comb the skin very carefully without causing any pain, only then your dog will co-operate. You should brush your dog against the lay of coat to make it appear fluffy.
Bathing Dogs: The best place to bathe dogs is in warm weather. Bathing is the messy work in dog grooming. Using a dog shampoo bathing it is the best. The head part should be shampooed in the end so that the shampoo does not get into the nose, eyes and ears. You can cover the ears with cotton and hold your hand to cover the nose and eyes area. Then rinse and towel dry. Ensure that there are no mats or tangles on the coat.
